How would you describe your personal interior design style?
Bright, cozy, and midcentury
If you could only choose one song to play every time you walked into a room, what would it be?
The Best by Tina Turner (it’s our family anthem)
How would you describe your neighborhood?
Charming, community-oriented, and full of nature!
What was your non- negotiable when it came to finding your dream home?
Windows!
What's your favorite room? Why?
The living room, because we love nothing more than a family snuggle.
What is one thing you need in your home to make it yours?
A big cozy couch to snuggle on!
What makes you (or your family) laugh?
Being silly, singing and dancing, and some good (non injurious) physical comedy
If you could throw a theme party in your house, what would be the theme?
We had a fabulous murder mystery party in our house for Nic’s birthday and it felt like our house played an important role in setting the historical scene.
A day spent running around the neighborhood: what's your first stop and last stop?
Our first stop would be the co-op for some treats or maybe Ultimo for coffee, and our last stop would be a drink and food truck dinner at the Wissahickon Brewery.
How has your home changed from move-in day?
The house has always had good vibes, from day one. We have filled it with our personality (and renovated the bathroom!) but one of the things we love most about the house is that it has its own personality as well!
What's your favorite memory of your home?
We have so many memories here, including raising our first (and only) child here, but it’s the memory of a typical day that we’ll remember most fondly: waking up to a view of the trees, sharing what we’re grateful for over breakfast in the kitchen, dancing and playing in the play room, and snuggling (of course) in the living room.
What was the catalyst to you purchasing a new home?
We are relocating for a job and so sad to leave our house, we wish we could bring it (and our neighbors) with us.
What's your favorite piece of Philly culture?
We love that Philly is so diverse and unpretentious. Anyone and everyone can find a place in Philly. And there will always be excellent food!
