On a residential stretch of Port Richmond, Austin and Heather created a home that feels grounded, easy, and deeply shaped by family life.
Tucked inside 📍3274 Belgrade Street, the space reflects an appreciation for character and comfort. Original details, hardwood floors, and solid bones set the foundation from the start. Their style leans relaxed and unfussy, the kind of “anything goes” approach that comes naturally when a home is built around real life rather than perfection. Nothing overly styled, nothing precious. Just a space that has evolved alongside them.
Music is always part of the atmosphere. If they had to choose one song to play every time they walked into a room, it would be “Hey Jude,” a fitting soundtrack for a home that feels both nostalgic and full of energy. And at the center of it all is their daughter Prudence, who keeps things lively and a little unpredictable in the best way.
Life here moves easily with the neighborhood. Port Richmond offers a mix of longtime residents and young families, creating a sense of connection that feels genuine. Days often start with a quick Target run, followed by coffee at Miles Table or time spent at Campbell Square. From there, plans unfold naturally. Maybe a trip into Center City on the El, or a drive toward Fishtown for dinner at Craft Hall or Urban Village. It’s a rhythm that feels simple, familiar, and distinctly their own.
Over time, the home has been thoughtfully updated to support how they live. The kitchen and bathrooms have been refreshed, a new roof added, and small improvements layered in along the way. At the heart of it all is the kitchen, a space that holds both everyday moments and lasting memories. It’s where time is spent, meals are shared, and family life naturally gathers.
What stands out most are the milestones that have happened here. Walking through the door for the first time as homeowners. Bringing each of their children home. The quiet, meaningful moments that define what a home becomes over time.
For Austin and Heather, this house marked an important step. A move from New York City with the intention of building something more permanent. A home, a family, a new chapter.
Now, it’s ready for what comes next.
